Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce basic concepts of diplomacy, its main actors and tools, key aspects of diplomatic correspondence and negotiation, developing written and verbal communication skills in the field of diplomacy.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Have an understanding of the concept of diplomacy, its role in the conduct of international relations
  • Learn basic tools and actors of diplomacy
  • Gain knowledge on basic forms of diplomatic correspondence and communication
  • Learn about the use of diplomatic language both orally and in writing
  • Have an understanding of techniques of negotiation
  • Understand how diplomacy is conducted in the digital age (digital diplomacy)
Course Description Introduction of the concept of diplomacy, its basic tools and actors, develop skills to communicate both orally and written in diplomatic language, become familiar with the implementation of diplomacy especially in the changing digital world. The students will be expected to contribute through term projects.
